MINI ROV Program Assessment
There are four key elements to the ROV program:
- Mini ROV build
- Verbal Presentation
- Marketing Display
- Underwater Challenge
The ROV kit can be purchased from STEM WA Storeroom (Form SWA007) or the parts can be purchased individually via local suppliers such as Bunnings and Jaycar. The judging criteria is detailed in the link below:

The Mini ROV build Manual
You will need the following tools to build the Mini ROV in purchasing parts individually. Those in bold will be needed for the building the Mini ROV kits:
- Battery drill
- Drill bit for rivet holes diameter 3.2mm or 3.5mm
- Small vice mounted to bench
- Ruler / measuring tape
- Side cutter pliers
- Wire strippers
- Small pliers pointy nose
- Wire crimp tool
- Soldering iron and solder
- Soldering station
- Rivet gun
- Small file
- Hot glue gun or similar
- Hack saw
- Safety glasses
- Screw Driver Set
